Suwataisha Honmiya shrine

It is the head shrine of 25,000 sub-shrines located in Japan. There are various theories about the erection. Takeminakata-no-mikoto has been worshiped as a god of hunting, warrior, wind and agriculture since ancient times.
In famous stories it is said that Sakanoueno-tamuramaro, the first Japanese called Seiitaishougun, came as a victory prayer during the ezo conquest.
In the Onbashira-festival, which is held once every six years, a total of 4 tree trunks, are set up at the four corners of the shrine.
